"If you like the Motown, Shag music of the 60's, 70's and
80's, you'll be blown away by
Showstoppers. They have unbelievable harmony and to us the best song
selection we've seen. We have heard their new CD and it's
awesome!"
Ray, Goodman & Brown: The Moments
"Showstoppers is a can't miss act if you like
harmony, Oldies and Motown. The response to their performance at the
Mt. Gretna Art Festival was very positive. Really tight
harmonies!"

In 1960, Dennis Eckenrode
started his career as a bass player and singer with The
Fabulous Ro-Counts from Rutherford and Hershey. He played
fairs, teen dances and was also the house band at Lykens
Ballroom. He opened for many name acts, such as, Diane Renee',
Leslie Gore, Dionne Warwick, Barbara Mason, Cannabal and The
Headhunters, The Orlons, Platters, Delphonics, Stylistics,
Intruders, and Major Harris. In 1967, Denny left the Ro-Counts
to join the Master Men, along with Cliff Seidle, Bob (Sugar
Bear) Laird, Gary Loper and Bobby Staubs. Denny was always
into Motown music and so were the Master Men. He left that
group in 1970 to pursue another career and retired in 1995. He
returned to music by forming the Fabulous Showstoppers Oldies
Review 6 years ago. Karen became a member 5 years ago, and
Gina has been with the group for 3 years. They put their
personal touch to the 3 part harmonies featured in their song
selection. This group is excellent for your listening and
dancing pleasure for any type of function.
Music has been a long time interest for Karen Schultz.
She has participated in school musicals such as "The
Music Man" and has been a member of trios and quartets
over the years. While studying for her degree in biology, she
was a member of an Acapella group that performed at various
functions at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She
also sang with the Fabulous Showstoppers when they opened for
the Doobie Brothers and Alan Jackson at a recent concert at
the York Fair. Karen's major strength is her harmony which has
become an integral asset contributing to the dynamics of the
new Fabulous Showstoppers Oldies Review.
A Sacramento, California native, Gina Nations
enjoys all genres of music. She has earned a BA in Dramatic
Arts. While studying theater and voice in New York, Gina sang
jazz at popular New York City night clubs. When she moved back
to California, she became the lead female vocalist of Whiskey
Ridge, a five piece country band that performed in night clubs
and casinos in Nevada and at the California state fair. She
also sang with a gospel quartet that traveled throughout
California. Gina's singing career includes recording material
for radio, video and television at a community station in
Roseville, CA. Now, as a member of Showstoppers, she has added
oldies to her repertoire and is excited to be a part of the
group doing what she loves: singing.
